PCB Materials Management, March 4, 2009:
Envirochem continues to support the City of Vancouver on PCB management issues.  Envirochem has been involved in the Safe Management of PCB for the City of Vancouver for the past 20 years. The latest project involves decontamination and removal of PCB containing equipment in compliance with the new Federal
PCB Regulations.

EH&S Software, January 2009:
The Suncor Energy Inc. Ethanol plant in Sarnia,Ontario purchased Envirochem’s ENVOLVTM software application to enhance data management efficiency and, ultimately cost competitiveness. Streamlined document management and action item tracking were the prime targets. The process began with an in-depth needs analysis followed by selecting optimal network configuration for internal and external access.

Oilsands Environmental Compliance Audit, November 2008:
For the Shell Canada owned Albian Sands Energy Inc., north of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Envirochem was again hired to conduct an environmental compliance audit of all operations up on site up to the corridor pipeline.
 A concise priority based audit report was generated on site using Envirochem ENVOLVTM software application audit module and used as the basis for the closing meeting.

Environmental Compliance Audits at Pulp and Paper Mills, June-October 2008:
Catalyst Paper Corporation, Richmond, B.C., is among the world’s leading manufacturers of specialty printing, coated and directory papers including an innovative paper recycling division.
Since 2002, Envirochem has conducted bi-annual audits for operating divisions in B.C. (now five) to assess compliance with permits, approvals and relevant regulations and bylaws. The audit process yielded site specific reports with priority action items to support management decision-making. A corporate report comparing performance over time between all divisions was subsequently provided for management and executive due diligence. Between compliance audits, Envirochem conducted Internal EMS audits and supported numerous technical initiatives including modified sampling routines and waste management of dredge spoils.

EMS and Compliance Audits at Hydroelectric Facilities, October 2008: Envirochem was engaged by Cloudworks Energy Inc.,
Vancouver, BC, for a multi-stage assignment including compliance audits, environmental risk identification and environmental management system (EMS) development.
Carving out a robust EMS structure was particularly important for this rapidly growing company with multiple sites, contractors and project administrators.
